*What’s soccer star?
It’s an FA development program launched in 1988 and reviewed in 2001 more then
500, 000 children worldwide subscribed to the scheme.
*For whom the soccer star designed?
It’s designed for boys & girls of any ability from 6 to 16 years of age.
*How does the program operate?
Coach conduct a program consist of 6 topics including passing and control,
* Running with ball
* Turning
* Speed
* Dribbling
* Heading
* Shooting
Establish the player’s strength and weaknesses and test the children through the 6 topics
Input the test scores into the appropriate page, and print certificates.
*What feedback is provided?
Number of points will be rewarded to indicate the player’s grading;
For the coach a readout of the group’s development and progress.
*How the program was validated?
The soccer star program has been validated by Professor TIM HOLT of the social statistics department of Southampton university following research with over 10,000 children.
*Goal setting?
The soccer star allows children to set simple performance goals and view development in term of personal improvement and achieve success and improve their overall self esteem so the Soccer Star therefore represent the largest worldwide objective assessment of young player’s technical ability.
